Blur is scheduled to have their inaugural headlining show at London’s Wembley Stadium this weekend. Renowned for their chart-toppers like “Song 2” and “Parklife,” the band will perform on both Saturday and Sunday, featuring distinct support acts for each concert.

During a discussion with Rolling Stone, Dave Rowntree, the 59-year-old drummer of the band, referred to Wembley as “the UK’s most iconic venue.” He noted that despite their fame peaking in the late Nineties, the band had never performed at this renowned location.

In 1989, Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James, and Dave Rowntree founded Blur. Ahead of their first studio album in eight years called “The Ballad of Darren,” set to release on July 21, the band has scheduled upcoming performances in London. Their latest single, “The Narcissist,” is now out.

Blur toured extensively across the UK and Ireland, performing in Colchester, Eastbourne, Wolverhampton, Newcastle, and Dublin before their Wembley shows.
