On Saturday, the Boardmasters Festival carried on at Watergate Bay, showcasing vibrant live music by renowned global artists. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Cornish coast, yesterday’s Boardmasters was an unmissable event in one of the UK’s most awe-inspiring festival locations.
The day concluded with one of the highly anticipated performances of the weekend. Fans eagerly gathered for Liam Gallagher’s exclusive UK festival performance, and he delivered. With his unique confidence and a setlist filled with iconic tracks, the former Oasis frontman electrified the atmosphere. Drawing the largest crowd of the weekend, fans sang along to every word, making it an unforgettable headline set.
Little Simz took the main stage before Liam Gallagher, captivating the audience with her Mercury Prize-winning talent and unmatched British hip-hop lyricism. The atmosphere was electrifying, with outstanding performances by RAYE, Confidence Man, The Reytons, Dylan, Somebody’s Child, and The Lottery Winners. Thom, the lead singer of The Lottery Winners, received a joyous rendition of Happy Birthday from the crowd.
Land Of Saints hosted energetic performances by top rock and indie bands like Nova Twins, Yard Act, and Bears Den. Unleashed kept the crowd moving with DJ sets from Anton Powers, Piri, Bou, Nathan Dawe, and others. The Point featured a fantastic lineup of TSHA, Mella Dee, Jaguar, Effy, and more for dance, house, and electro enthusiasts. The View offered a diverse range of music, including new sounds and soothing acoustic performances by Gwenno, A Blaze Of Feather, Overpass, LANKS, and many others.

BBC Radio 1 returned to Boardmasters, airing live with Katie Thistleton, Sam, and Danni. The Dockyard hosted drum’n’bass music, while The Submarine and Transatlantic Lounge offered late-night revelry. The Green Team, along with festival attendees, actively pursued sustainability goals by conducting beach cleans at Porth Beach, Watergate Bay, Great Western, and Fistral Beach.
The Boardmasters OPEN surf competition continued at Fistral Beach, featuring thrilling battles on the waves. The QS1,000 Animal Pro resumed in challenging surf conditions to determine the Semifinalists for a Sunday finale. In the women’s division, British talent Alys Barton (GBR) will compete against Camilla Kemp (DEU) in the next round. Yolanda Hopkins (POR), the two-time defending champion, secured a spot in the Semis and will face Rachel Presti (DEU). The men’s Animal Pro will showcase a younger field on Sunday, with Hans Odriozola (ESP) competing against Ido Arkin (ISR) in the first Semifinal, while local surfer Luke Dillon (GBR) impressed in the Quarters and will face Kai Odriozola (ESP) in the second Semifinal. Additionally, the Reef Longboard Pro will conclude on Sunday, with six British surfers aiming for victory on home turf. Ben Skinner (GBR), a local legend, is the crowd favorite to emerge victorious at Fistral Beach—the UK’s surf mecca.
