To celebrate the launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, prominent personalities, fortunate fans, and gaming icons enjoyed an extraordinary DJ set by Chase & Status. The headline show took place right in the heart of a functional airport baggage claim carousel.
The airport party, organized by Call of Duty® and PlayStation®, took inspiration from the popular Call of Duty multiplayer map Terminal. The event was held at a secret location in London, bringing the map to life.
Alex Iwobi, Fran Kirby, ArrDee, and King Combs, son of Diddy, were present at the MWIII launch event. King Combs wasted no time and immediately hopped onto the PS5™ to play the newest installment in the franchise.
The launch event, which took place a day prior to the game’s release in the UK, involved guests checking in, going through security, and entering a lively Terminal atmosphere featuring DJ sets by renowned DnB artists Chase & Status and emerging talent Bou.
Chase & Status played fan favourite tracks like 2023 smash Baddadan with Bou (ft. Irah, Trigga, Flowdan and Takura) – hours before the release of their new mixtape 2 Ruff, Vol.1 which features guest appearances from Stefflon Don, ArrDee, and Clementine Douglas.
Fortunate fans, who secured their spot at the launch by winning competitions, enjoyed a meal at the cherished Burger Town restaurant in Terminal. They had the opportunity to explore the airport area, experience the game firsthand, and even receive a speedy haircut at the Monster Energy barbers.
Chase & Status expressed their excitement for tomorrow, calling it a significant day after an enjoyable campaign. Releasing an album is always thrilling, but this year holds extra significance. They spoke highly of the incredible shows and fan interaction throughout the journey.
When questioned about their involvement in the Modern Warfare III event, they expressed enthusiasm, stating that it’s an exciting fusion of music and gaming. They acknowledged that being a part of it is undeniably cool.
