Don’t be scared. It’s just a new headline partner for the UK’s mammoth rock festival Download.
Liquid Death, the beverage company making health and sustainability 50x more fun, is the first headline partner in Download’s twenty-one year history.
In 2023, Liquid Death and Download formed a partnership. Liquid Death became the official still and sparkling water partner at the festival, resulting in festivalgoers consuming over double the amount of water compared to 2022. By replacing hundreds of thousands of plastic bottles with infinitely recyclable cans during the UK festival season, Liquid Death made a significant reduction in plastic waste. This success prompted both Liquid Death and Download to elevate their relationship to the next level.

The partnership will include complete brand integration across the festival from a physical onsite presence to digital communications. Liquid Death will also be the main water partner at all main bars in the festival arena as well as guest areas across the festival site. Finally, Liquid Death’s commitment to eliminating single-use plastic will be at the heart of the Download partnership.
Liquid Death and Live Nation formed a strategic partnership in 2021 to offer environmentally friendly water choices and reduce single-use plastics at concerts and music festivals. Their innovative sustainability and hydration initiatives have eliminated single-use plastics at Live Nation venues and festivals in the US and UK, resulting in approximately 425 tons of plastic waste avoided so far.
