EE, for the seventh year running, is the official technology partner of Glastonbury. They have created this official app to help music fans stay connected from both their home and on-site. It shares the latest Glastonbury Festival news, navigation help around the Festival site, line-up planning, and all the information you need to know about Glastonbury artists and stages.
- Personalised festival line-ups. You can view all the artists which will be performing at the Festival and then build your own line-up that can be shared with friends.
- Live Interactive Map. Boasting offline functionality and up-to-date site coverage for location finding.
- Latest News and Announcements. All the news you could want for Glastonbury 2022 in real-time directly to the app, as well as a feed to the official Glastonbury Festival Twitter account.
- Reminders. Set custom reminders so you don’t miss your favorite acts.
The app was, according to an official statement by EE, originally planned for release on Monday the 6th of June. However, the app went live on Android on the 7th of June and with a slight delay. The iPhone version went public one day later on the 8th of June.
The app has been created to ensure that music fans do not miss any of their favorite performances. The shareable, curated, Festival line-ups are a great feature to help music fans out. You can even use the app from your own home, to plan your line-up for those performances that will be broadcast live on the BBC.
EE have also added a new Dark Mode, by popular demand, which revamps the app’s performance. This means far less battery usage than previous versions, so fans don’t need to worry about running out of battery whilst on the Festival site.
You can find out more about EE at Glastonbury Festival on their official site here.
