The Love Trails Festival is excited to reveal the initial acts on its 2024 music lineup. JOY (Anonymous) and Stornoway have been confirmed to wrap up an extraordinary weekend of adventure in the stunning Gower Peninsula, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Love Trails is a unique festival that merges trail running and music, turning the Gower Peninsula in Wales into an exhilarating playground for both adventurers and music enthusiasts. By blending the electrifying experience of live music performances with the euphoria of running and the liberating beauty of the Welsh coast, this enchanting event stands apart from any other.
Headlining the festival this year are JOY (Anonymous), a dynamic dance duo, and Stornoway, a pop folk band. JOY (Anonymous), comprising Henry Counsell and Louis Curran, is renowned for their high-energy dance beats and has performed alongside Fred Again.., The Streets, and The Blessed Madonna in 2023. Their latest album, “Cult Classics,” has received great acclaim. Stornoway, known for their joyful and emotional songs about nature, love, and folklore, made a comeback last year after a break. In 2023, they achieved a UK Top 10 album with ‘Dig The Mountain!’ and sold out their headline tour in the UK.
The festival will showcase emerging talents from various genres. AMA, a Drum & Bass sensation nominated for ‘Best Breakthrough DJ of 2023’ by DJ Mag, Welsh soulful reggae singer Aleighcia Scott, and the captivating ensemble Ríoghnach Connolly & Honeyfeet, BBC Radio 2 Folk Singer of the Year, are among the featured artists. The diverse lineup includes Gonora Sounds, a Zimbabwean family band with infectious beats and uplifting melodies, as well as Riot Jazz Brass Band, a Manchester-based 9-piece brass behemoth known for their unique covers in Jazz, Hip-Hop, Drum & Bass, and Dubstep. Also performing is Theo Kottis, a renowned house and techno DJ & producer whose single ‘Lighthouse’ was hailed as the “song of the summer” by Resident Advisor.
Love Trails Festival provides an exciting musical lineup, along with a variety of adventure activities and inspiring talks set against the stunning scenery of the Gower Peninsula. Attendees can participate in trail running, hiking, rock climbing, coastal hikes, surfing, yoga, and more, enjoying a balanced mix of movement, music, adventure, inspiration, and wellbeing.
“Love Trails Festival transcends being a mere music event; it offers an immersive encounter where the ecstasy of music converges with the excitement of adventure,” describes Theo Larn-Jones, the festival’s founder. “We eagerly anticipate uniting a varied lineup of gifted musicians and artists who will enthrall audiences, alongside an assortment of thrilling activities that will ensure an unforgettable weekend.”
