The National have announced a huge outdoor show at Manchester’s iconic outdoor amphitheatre, Castlefield Bowl for Thursday 4th July, 2024. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday 17th November from www.gigsandtours.com.
The National, a band formed in New York in 1999, has achieved consistent success on the UK charts with their last five albums all reaching the Top 5. In 2023, the band had a significant year marked by the launch of two studio albums: “First Two Pages of Frankenstein” in April and a surprise companion album called “Laugh Track” in September. They commemorated these releases with a UK tour, including two sold-out performances at London’s Alexandra Palace.
Laugh Track is the band’s most uninhibited and collaborative album in recent years. While Frankenstein symbolized the restoration of trust among group members after two decades, the lively and adventurous Laugh Track showcases both the culmination of that belief and a fresh declaration of purpose.
