Today, the renowned festival Bluedot, which combines music, science, and cosmic culture, revealed an extraordinary addition to Thursday evening’s lineup at this year’s event. Hosted at the iconic Jodrell Bank Observatory in Cheshire, this festival promises an unforgettable experience.
Following their collaboration on his second album, The Blue Notebooks, two decades ago, Oscar-winning actor Tilda Swinton will join Max Richter for his Thursday evening performance (20 July) after her recent appearance at Glastonbury. Swinton will deliver a reading from The Declaration of Human Rights, marking her debut performance of Richter’s acclaimed work, VOICES.

Continuing the tradition of past opening concert headliners Hannah Peel and Paraorchestra, as well as Manchester’s Hallé Orchestra, the immensely talented composer and producer will present a unique orchestral collaboration beneath the Lovell Telescope to kick off bluedot 2023.
Richter and Tilda’s exceptional performance guarantees an awe-inspiring festival opening and a memorable bluedot moment for years ahead.
