The 1975’s upcoming ‘Still… At Their Very Best’ tour will showcase the band’s performances in arenas across North America and Canada during Autumn. The tour includes sold-out concerts at Los Angeles’ famed Hollywood Bowl and, for the first time, two consecutive sold-out nights at New York’s iconic Madison Square Garden. After this, the band will head to the UK and Europe for newly announced shows in 2024.
The band’s previous tour, ‘At Their Very Best,’ covered arenas in the USA, Canada, UK & Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia over the past nine months, selling over 500k tickets. The tour received praise for its impressive staging, innovative performance art, surprise guest appearances, and garnered numerous five-star reviews from critics. Now, with ‘Still… At Their Very Best,’ The 1975 aims to raise the bar even higher, introducing an enhanced production experience.
The 1975 recently announced several new limited-edition formats of their debut album ‘The 1975’ to commemorate its 10th anniversary. These include a 4LP deluxe vinyl release featuring ‘The 1975,’ ‘Facedown’ EP, ‘Sex’ EP, ‘Music For Cars’ EP, and ‘IV’ EP. Additionally, there will be a solid white vinyl version in a gatefold sleeve, a limited-edition white cassette, and a 2CD set containing the album along with a live recording of ‘The 1975’ performed in its entirety at Gorilla, Manchester earlier this year. The band’s webstore will also offer new and classic era merchandise, starting from tomorrow (Friday, September 1st), which was the original release date of the album in 2013.
In the past decade, The 1975 have firmly solidified their status as the defining band of their generation through their distinct aesthetic, devoted fanbase, and innovative sound.
The band’s fifth studio album, titled ‘Being Funny In A Foreign Language,’ was released in October last year to widespread acclaim. The FACE described it as “an album of impressive songs, flawless production, and genuine romanticism,” while Rolling Stone declared the band’s return to the forefront of pop-rock in the 2020s. The album’s success was evident as it outsold the entire Top 5 combined and secured the band their fifth consecutive Official UK Number 1 album. Additionally, the band was honored with the title of ‘Best Rock/Alternative Act’ at the 2023 BRIT Awards.
