Singer songwriter Tom Jenkins has today announced that he will be embarking on a UK headline tour this November and December, with shows in London, Manchester, Leeds and Cardiff. Tickets go on sale Friday 8th September at 10am from Ticketmaster.
Following their successful performance at The Long Road Festival, they are pleased to announce that they will be supporting Megan Moroney on her UK tour in August.
Tom Jenkins, originally from the South Wales Valleys, grew up in a region defined by former coal mining communities and a rugged landscape where he now farms. Despite early recognition as “Britain’s Youngest Shepherd” on 90s Breakfast TV and National News, his life took an unexpected turn towards music. Jenkins embarked on a personal musical journey, starting with local rock bands and eventually forming his own group. He released albums, toured extensively across Europe, sharing the stage with renowned acts such as Motörhead, The Presidents of the USA, and others. He even performed shows in the United States.
After exploring New Zealand, Jenkins eventually discovered the perfect moment and location to compose his first album, ‘Misery in Comfort.’ Blending his distinct encounters and singular voice, he skillfully crafted melodic songs influenced by Country, Folk, and Indie-Pop. Jenkins’ talent grabbed the interest of American producer Elijah Ford and renowned singer-songwriter Ryan Bingham, winner of Grammy and Oscar awards. This led to a joint tour in Ireland with the two acclaimed artists.
Working on his second full-length album through the pandemic, ‘It Comes in The Morning, It Hangs in the Evening Sky’ finally released late last year, produced with life-long friend Tom Campbell.
