Tramlines Festival, Sheffield’s premier celebration, is excited to reveal more talent for its 2024 event at Hillsborough Park. The festival will span five stages and accommodate 40,000 attendees from Friday, July 26th to Sunday, July 28th.

Enhancing its already formidable lineup, featuring artists like Paulo Nutini, Jamie T, Snow Patrol, The Human League, and Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Live at the Apollo in Hammersmith now introduces a stellar cast of stand-up comedians. Among the comedy headliners are Lucy Beaumont from Hull (Friday), Angelos Epithemiou with his quirky persona and carrier bag (Saturday), known for Reeves & Mortimer’s Shooting Stars, and Jon Richardson, the devoted vegan and cardigan enthusiast who captains 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown (Sunday).

The lineup features comedy talents like Justin Moorhouse from Phoenix Nights, noted writer Olivia Lee from The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, award-winning comedians Andrew Maxwell and others. Each day at Tramlines, a different Master of Ceremonies takes the stage, including Phil Ellis, a nominee for Sky’s Best Comedy Show at the 2023 Edinburgh Comedy Awards, alongside the witty Gareth Waugh from Scotland and the sharp-tongued Matt Reed.

Although most of the Tramlines’ primary music lineup has been revealed, organizers have made room for two notable new additions: The Pigeon Detectives, a Leeds indie-rock band that recently released their sixth studio album “TV Show” after earning numerous platinum and gold awards throughout their career. Additionally, Radio 1’s Future Artists bestowed a ‘Next Wave’ accolade upon the emerging talents Balancing Act, who are poised to deliver their thrilling live performance in Sheffield.

Tramlines is excited to reveal The Open Arms lineup, the exclusive stage where anything goes. TV’s Shaun Williamson returns with his Barrioke sing-along. Plucking Different promises ukulele mayhem with a mix of feel-good tunes. Old Dirty Brasstards make a grand return with their brass ensemble. Flash Bang Brass brings club vibes and LED shows. Double Dollys offer Dolly Parton love, comedy, live songs, and line dancing.

This year at The Open Arms, ‘Slambarz presents: Speakers Corner’ returns with three dynamic sessions, featuring an all-female showcase on Saturday, July 27. Slambarz, based in Sheffield, provides a safe haven for young artists (ages 14-25) to explore their musical passions. Rising star Kid Blu3 stands out with her unique rap style, compelling lyrics, and soulful melodies that have captivated both audiences and industry insiders. The Slambarz lineup showcases diverse new talents like Miah, Geeraii, Nicole Marie, and W4nnjiro. With DJ Dylor and DJ Law’s energetic beats and Keyz.Tenten and BuzzNorthway’s innovative flows, this year’s Slambarz promises to be a highlight at Tramlines 2024.

As dusk falls on Tramlines, The Open Arms elevates the energy by passing the sound system to Sheffield’s beloved club nights: 2014 The Club Night, Club Tropicana, and ABBA Party. These popular events from The Leadmill promise festival attendees a night of top-notch party tunes, ensuring cheerful faces all around as they make their way home on the tram.
