Tickets, Travel, ID and other info

Tickets

Tickets are still available officially from the TRNSMT page on Ticketmaster, so don’t get scammed buying on social media.

Attendees holding General Admission or VIP tickets are advised to download the Ticketmaster app, log in to their account, and access their ticket before reaching Glasgow Green. By doing so, they can ensure uninterrupted access to their ticket, even in areas with poor signal reception.

VIP+ or Ultimate VIP ticket holders will receive their tickets in advance by mail.

Travel

TRNSMT strongly encourages the use of public transportation to travel to and from Glasgow Green. With numerous travel options available, it is highly recommended to utilize trains, buses, and subway services to reach Glasgow city center, followed by a short walk to Glasgow Green.

TRNSMT does not offer festival parking, instead, they have designated four nearby locations for drop-off and pick-up. Limited blue badge parking spaces are available but need to be pre-arranged.

For more information on the best ways to get to the festival, visit the TRNSMT website.

Sustainability

This year, TRNSMT organizers are urging fans to contribute to conscious climate action by adhering to the following guidelines:

  1. Buy vintage, swap clothes with friends or wear what you already have to embrace circular fashion this summer.
  2. Reduce emissions by making sustainable travel choices – walk, cycle, or use public transport.
  3. Keep the festival site spick and span by using the correct bins. Last year, by composting food and paper cups, enough compost was produced to feed a garden for over 500 years!
  4. Bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated and reduce plastic waste.
  5. Give vegetarian or vegan options a go and reduce the environmental impact of your food.

ID

TRNSMT does not allow children under 16 years old to attend. The festival enforces a Challenge 25 policy, meaning if you appear to be under 25, you must bring valid ID for entry. Stewards will be present at all entrances to enforce this policy.

Ensure that the PASS hologram on your Young Scot Card is not faded; otherwise, it will not be accepted. Remember, do not bring photos or photocopies of any ID.

Don’t Bring List

The TRNSMT website provides detailed guidelines on permitted and prohibited items for the event. To promote recycling efforts, please refrain from bringing any unauthorized items. Small bags and rucksacks are allowed for essentials, but should not exceed the size of an A4 paper.

Prohibited items for fans include:

See Also

  • Metal, glass or hard plastic water bottles
  • Food or drink
  • Glass (including perfumes)
  • Flares or smoke canisters (These are dangerous and now illegal to have at large events)
  • Flags
  • Chairs
  • Professional cameras or selfie sticks
  • Umbrellas

To ensure a smooth entry and everyone’s safety, it is recommended to arrive early before your favorite performers. Please note that there may be queues at the ID check and searches. TRNSMT has implemented CCTV and Police Detection Dogs at entrances for security purposes.

Weather

Due to Scotland’s unpredictable weather in July, it is advisable to be prepared for any conditions, whether it be rain or shine, although we remain optimistic for sunny days.

Glasgow is known for experiencing four seasons in a day, with rapid weather changes. Remember to dress appropriately for all types of weather, bring sunscreen to prevent sunburn, and carry a jacket for cooler evenings.

TRNSMT app

The TRNSMT app is essential for your festival weekend.

The app has been officially launched, providing fans with the latest festival updates, a site map, and a unique feature for creating personalized schedules throughout the weekend. Fans can ‘favorite’ acts they don’t want to miss and receive reminders through the app. Charging points are conveniently available at 3Charging by Three, located at the Needle monument, to ensure your phone stays powered up.

To obtain the app at no cost, go to your app store or the TRNSMT website.
