The folks at Record Store Day have teamed up with Breed Media to try and find the best unsigned band out there – so it’s time to big up your local band or artist! The winner will get mastering time at the world-famous Abbey Road Studios, courtesy of Bowers and Wilkins, 500 copies of their record pressed for free, courtesy of Breed Media, and will get to perform at Key Production’s 33⅓rd birthday party at legendary London venue, Electrowerkz, on 16th November for a 1,000-strong audience of music industry executives and fans.
Simply submit a 2-minute sample of their original work to TikTok or YouTube using the #RSDUnsigned hashtag, then, finalise their submission by following and completing the details here before Monday 16th October. It couldn’t be any easier. Send your demo, and recommend your local band or artist – it’s open to all, so spread the word!
Dan Smith, the lead singer of Bastille, will be among the industry experts on the judging panel for the competition.
“Molly Rider from Breed Media expresses her enthusiasm, stating that they have received over 200 entries thus far, but the deadline is quickly approaching. This presents an incredible chance for unsigned bands or artists to gain exposure by having their name printed on vinyl and a Mastering Session at none other than Abbey Road Studios!”
